You are entitled to more than you think - Getting the word out about ALL CSIA membership benefits

I’ve had the opportunity to talk with a large percentage of CSIA members in the year I have been onboard. I have been surprised to learn that some are not fully aware of what we have to offer beyond the Executive Conference and the Best Practices manual.

Examples include:

  • Free monthly webinars. In 2016, we are dedicating the series to Best Practices and have lined up system integrators with multiple certification rounds under their belts to share their knowledge and experiences. I recommend bringing your entire team together to jointly watch the monthly business webinar. It is a 60-minute investment, and you may build momentum and support within your organization to implement Best Practices.
  • The CSIA monthly newsletter and other news containing information on valuable resources, industry trends and important updates on things taking place at CSIA.
  • Tools to help your company become a better business, including marketing resources, project quality plan templates and resource libraries.
  • Networking and access to input from other CSIA members through the Open Forum, part of our online Connected Community.
  • CSIA Exchange, a very valuable vehicle to allow your company to be found by potential end user clients.

I always try to understand why some of our members don’t have an awareness of all that we offer. In some cases, our email notices don’t reach them. If you don’t think you are receiving monthly email newsletters and other regular email updates from CSIA, which we send through Constant Contact, an on online marketing tool, please take the following steps:

  • Check your spam, junk, or bulk folder for the email. If you find email from us in one of those folders, add our email address to the safe sender list in the email client.
  • Contact your internet service provider (ISP) and ask them to whitelist all of Constant Contact's IP addresses and domains.
  • If you require further assistance with any of these steps, please contact Kim, and she will help you get to the bottom of whatever issue is preventing you from receiving messages from us.

Also, please note that anyone can join our email list!

Add members of your team!
In some cases, one person may find themselves becoming the bottleneck or the unintended gatekeeper of CSIA information at your organization. We encourage you to add other company members beyond the designated contact to your organization’s CSIA account, to maximize the benefits of your membership. What you may find trivial may not be to the younger engineer or the one only recently exposed to the topic of Best Practices. To designate additional employees as CSIA members, please send Emily their first and last names, title, email address and phone number. Also, while you are at it, please help us with housekeeping by letting us know if we need to remove any names in our database from your membership account.
