Richard is president of the Cross Company Integrated Systems Group. He continues to work with Cross since selling his interest to them in August of 2008. He is tasked with providing vision, direction and leadership for his group. He is also responsible for the development and execution of leading a team to grow sales and increase profit. Since 2008, under Richard’s leadership, his group has grown from $5M to over $12M in 2015. He is an experienced professional with many years of business and financial acumen in running a successful company. He brings leadership, integrity and professionalism to his organization. He also brings his technical expertise of control system migration and ISO9001 certification. Currently he is a member of the corporate management team for Cross Company which finished with over $115M in sales last year.
Previously, Richard was co-founder and president of Innovative Controls, incorporated, based in Knoxville, TN., a systems integration company founded in 1991.
Since graduation with a BSEE from Auburn, He has been heavily involved in manufacturing automation for over 30 years.
Separate from his professional career, Richard is a physically active runner and cyclist. On the weekend he volunteers for the local Salvation Army and enjoys spending time with his family.
