Blair Sooley, P.Eng., MBA is a 20 year electrical engineer with a background in I&C and has focused for the past 12 years on business development in the SCADA industry with Trihedral. He has experience in a variety of industries including most notably water/wastewater, energy, mining, and automotive. He has worked in Canada, and US and has worked on projects globally, leading implementations in South America and Southeast Asia.
His strengths are in working closely with customers to match requirements with available technologies and engineering resources to develop innovative solutions. He uses a wide breadth of cross-industry knowledge to leverage technology and can present information of any technical level to a wide audience.
Blair is an award winning presenter, having presented across Canada and the US and has achieved both Best Presentation and Honorable Mention awards for presentations at the annual ISA SCADA Symposium in Orlando. He is also a former Director of the Consulting Engineers of Nova Scotia, a non-profit organization supporting business initiatives in the engineering consulting industry.
