On December 10, 2015, CSIA kicked off its quarterly event series in Mexico City. The quarterly event series is part of CSIA’s efforts to develop a true system integration community in Mexico, and in the process, create a model of success for globalization efforts.
CSIA invited its local members as well as some prospects. Event sponsor Schneider Electric invited its system integration customers, some of them CSIA members, to attend. We had a total of 26 attendees from 11 companies, who came together to learn about CSIA and, in particular, our Best Practices.
Octavio Delgado, project management director from ECN (Electro Controles del Noroeste) made a well-received presentation on project management for system integrators. Octavio shared with the audience how CSIA Best Practices and the CSIA Certification process assisted ECN in its explosive growth. ECN is a CSIA Certified company headquartered in Hermosillo, Mexico with presence in the United States and Peru.
Schneider Electric’s Miguel Angel Valdespino and Felipe Rivera also presented on Schneider’s growing business in Mexico and their efforts in growing the local system integrator network.
