We hope everyone has enjoyed their summer. Here in Chicago, the weather has started to remind us of the upcoming change of season.
Meanwhile, it has been an intense August for CSIA.
I wrote last month’s message during my flight to Mexico City. Our Latin American Director Marcela Vallejo, organized an intense week. We met with seven Partners and a slightly larger number of local system integrators. We have been working to develop a formula for success in the region that we can then replicate in other parts of Latin America (and perhaps other parts of the world). We were very well received, with enthusiasm and openness to try a new approach. With the support of our local partners, we are working to deliver a full schedule of quarterly events in Mexico City.
During the month of August, Joe Martin and Jim Sellitto, both from Martin CSI, a CSIA certified system integration company, and I met with Omron in Illinois. We had a productive discussion and look forward to further collaboration opportunities. I also had the opportunity to present our association to attendees at the PI Profibus North America at their PROFINET training session in Lisle, Illinois. And, looking ahead, I will be attending the OPC Foundation Seminar in Chicago on September 25.
During my most recent visit with the Madison staff, we officially began content planning efforts for the 2016 Executive Conference. As you can imagine, this is a major undertaking, where the bar has been set very high. We are confident, though, that we will deliver another great Executive Conference in 2016.
