My Background:
I've worked in automation since graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1985.
In 2000 I founded a company that has evolved into two businesses. One is a Technical Recruiting and Staffing Firm focused on all automation related positions (Automationtechies), the other is an automation industry online magazine (Automation.com). In 2015 Automation.com was purchased by The International Society of Automation (www.isa.org).
Before starting Automationtechies/Automation.com, I worked for more than 11 years for a large independent Rockwell-Automation distributor where I held positions including: Automation Specialist, Automation Sales and Operations Manager. Prior to that, I had worked as a Field Engineer, Plant Engineer, and Data Acquisition Systems Programmer.
